Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteIt is my goal to teach online once completing this certificate program. I can certainly agree that instructors must be sensitive to their learners because there were times I was going to drop a course because I didn't feel that the instructor was communicating effectively. I have learned a great deal about technology through our courses. God's blessing as you continue on in your journey.
Hi Ms. Pam
ReplyDeleteYour briefing in regards to the online facilitator was very much on point. You mentioned the relationship between the learner and teacher that if not positive the learner would not receive what is being taught; I would like to add that if the facilitator does not keep abreast of their personal role to learn and implement technology to enhance instruction students will fail to adjust to instructional strategies. , when needed, to meet diverse student needs (Bennett & Lockyer, 2004, pg.235). I facilitate for the military during the Air Force Trainer. I run across plenty of students that if they do not feel the teacher in competent, they will shut down.
